“EMO HOUSE – Positive, Uplifting Dance Music – A 90’s feel with a modern appeal”

The upbeat vocal dance/pop music of Oscillator X draws from a variety of progressive electronic styles to create a unique new sound that is listenable as well as danceable.

The duo, comprised of John Mendenhall and Kyle Ward, have been producing music together since 1999. Oscillator X's sound is often compared to artists as diverse as: Eiffel 65, 2Unlimited, Real McCoy, O-Zone and Daft Punk.

Unlike many of today's dance acts, Oscillator X is a bona fide band with both members producing and performing all of the music in the studio, or onstage at their dynamic live shows.

Oscillator X songs have been featured in several video games including the In The Groove series, the Pump It Up series, iDance, Snake 360, Snowball Runner as well as many other videogame titles.  OSX music is best known and often associated with "Dance Machine Games" from all over the world.

Recently the duo has been touring to share their music with new fans all over the world. (including Norway & Netherlands)  In 2008, the co-owners purchased SCI Recordings and have successfully relaunched the SCI Recordings brand to help share the vision of fresh dance music that is authentically produced in the United States.  The band is native to Washington state in the Pacific Northwest.

SELECTED PRESS & QUOTES:

Their song DYNAMO is a recognized hit across the globe. These guys are total pros when it comes to entertainment. They have a computer synchronized light show, costumes, block-rockin' beats and even air powered confetti launchers. The last time I saw a show this well orchestrated was when I saw Polyphonic Spree at the Showbox. I am so excited to see this show.
- Angela Jossy– Speakeasy Arts Cooperative  Tacoma, WA

"Oscillator X delivers straight ahead danceable pop that's both fun and positive - a fresh note in today's depression-filled lyrics and autotuned vocals world"
- Beth Valiant– Music Director -KVTI I-91 FM  Tacoma, WA

"It's nice to hear local music of this caliber. When we played "Dynamo" back in January 2009, there was an instant reaction on the phones. It debuted on our request generated top 5 countdown on January 24, 2009 where it stayed for the next 14 weeks. Of those 14 weeks, 7 were at number one. The audience loves these guys! We are excited to hear what infectious songs they unleash on us in the future."
- Jon McDaniel – Program/Music Director - C89.5Worldwide FM  Seattle, WA

“The phones lit up the instant we played “Dynamo” and are still ringing two months later.”
- Richard J Dalton – C89.5Worldwide FM  Seattle, WA

"Oscillator X took the stage with two synthesizers, a turntable, and plenty of theatrics. They pulled out all the stops; pyrotechnic effects like flames shooting out of their keyboards, an onstage glowstringer, and several bursts of glittering confetti. I felt like I was on ecstasy."
- The Seattle Weekly

I program the "Rhythm Drive at Five" mixshow everyday from 5pm-6pm.
I have been receiving an incredible response with the Oscillator X – "Dynamo".
- Monte Gray "DJ Vinyl Fingers - KRYC Rhythm 105.9 Yuba City, CA

"Techno Techyes" covers a modest but vivacious spectrum of dancehall sounds. Oscillator X demonstrates its verve via fusings of synthpop, trance and the lighter side of electro-industrial, the three frequently co-existing within the being of a single track.

Oscillator X - Dynamo (5/5 stars)
Dandan Dubidu Dandan – uses a favorite phrase of Japanese and Chi in the chorus. This song has a momentum to the whole – enjoyable listening. I like the percussion in the second half. I’m looking forward to a trance remix.”

For fans of 90's eurodance and even bubblegum dance, "Oscillator X" is
one of those amazing groups that is currently taking the musical world by storm.
Since 2006, Oscillator X has continued to pump out amazing tunes, including my
personal favourites "Safety Net", "Dynamo", and "Dance All
Night".

Their debut album "Techno Techyes" is full of great dance tracks and is
just rippling with thunder-bolt energy. The album bursts into action with the
catchy "Party People (All Night Long)", a grunting dance tune and a
perfect introduction to Oscillator X's ultimate "party album". The
songs "Dynamo" and "Style On My Speed Dial" are sure to please
those bubblegum dance enthusiasts with their traditional production and catchy
lyrics. Oscillator X is extra cheesy with the awesome "Dance All Night"
- a fun dance song inspired by traditional bubblegum dance of the 90s. "You
Bring The Rain" is a break from the pumping happy dance/pop and is a truely
amazing "trance-inspired" song. Expert production and close attention
to detail makes this one of the best songs on the album. Also included on
Techno Techyes is my personal favourite "Safety Net", which features
some awesome vocal production, and a techno/dance cover of the popular rhyme
"London Bridge".

This year, Oscillator X released some amazing singles, including my all time
favourite "Just Don't Stop". With awesome thumping beats and synth
solos, as well as a high-energy chorus, Just Don't Stop is one of those songs
that you will play again and again, because it's that good! Recently,
Oscillator X returned with the awesome "Never Been In Love" - a song
rippling with electricity and energy. The song is riddled with catchy hooks
that you'll have it stuck in your head for ages after.

I highly recommend Oscillator X's music to everyone after refreshing, feel good
dance music. The 90's were the best for dance music, and Oscillator X knows it.
This IS 90's dance, but with a 21st century twist! Buy their music, you won't
regret it! :-)
